Chicken Rub!

"This is a nice rub for chicken breast. Apply it liberally all over your chicken just before putting it on the grill. It creates a nice crust that locks in the moisture of your chicken. Also tastes great on a flat iron steak, if that cut is available in your area."

• Yields: 1 cup

ingredients

• 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
• 4 tablespoons salt
• 1⁄4 cup paprika
• 3 tablespoons pepper
• 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
• 2 teaspoons garlic powder
• 2 teaspoons onion powder

directions

1. Mix it all together and store it in a zip lock bag or some other container. You'll have plenty left over to use later.
