- 1 chopped onion
- 4 tablespoons shortening (can substitute you favorite cooking oil)
- 3 tablespoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 -5 lbs chicken breasts
- 1 1⁄2 cups water
- 16 ounces sour cream

- 3 eggs
- 3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon sour cream
directions
- Brown onion in shortening or oil. Add seasonings and chicken.
- Brown chicken, then add water and cover. Simmer slowly until chicken is cooked and very tender.
- Remove chicken, cool and remove skin and bones.
- Add sour cream to pan drippings and mix well.
- Add chicken and dumplings, mix and heat together, and serve!
- Dumplings.
- Mix all ingredients together beat with a spoon.
- Drop batter by teaspoonful into boiling salted water. Cook about 7 to 10 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water. Drain well, add to paprikas.
