- 2 cups cheese, grated
- 1 cup flour, sifted
- 4 ounces butter
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (I use more)
- pecan halves
directions
- Preheat oven to 300.
- Combine cheese, flour and butter very well. Add salt and cayenne.
- Roll dough into a ball. Pinch off half.
- Roll out on floured board, rather thin. Cut with small biscuit cutter (or any cutter your want to use).
- Place on cookie sheet (I use silpat lined jelly roll pans).
- Put a pecan half in the center of each cookie.
- Bake in a slow oven until lightly brown.
