  • Mix sugar, butter, and shortening.
  • Add eggs and beat until light and fluffy. Sift and add dry ingredients.
  • Add water and vanilla.
  • Divide dough in half and form two rolls. Chill overnight. Slice cookies 1/2 inch thick.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
