Cake Mix Tandy Cakes

"These are Tandy Cakes similar to TastycakesBrand but using cake mix. My Daughter and I created these this morning using a couple of different recipes. Enjoy!"

• Yields: 15 3x3 bars
• Serves: 15

ingredients

• Cake

• 1 (15 1/4 ounce) box butter recipe cake mix
• 1 egg
• 1⁄2 cup oil
• 1⁄4 cup water

• Topping

• 8 ounces creamy peanut butter
• 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

directions

1. Stir cake ingredients together until well blended.
2. Spread in bottom of greased 10x15 glass cake dish.
3. Bake @350 for 12 minutes.
4. Spread peanut butter on hot cake.
5. Cool cake for several hours OR place on freezer rack until cool.
6. Melt chocolate chips in top of double boiler.
7. Spread chocolate on top of peanut butter layer.
8. Let cool(or chill in freezer).
9. Cut into bars.

There must be something wrong in the list of ingredients. I made this as instructed. I baked the cake portion for the 12 min. Then 3 more. Then 2 more. Then 1 more min. It never turned into a cake like product. I threw it away after cooling and tasting.
