I tried this salad when I went on holiday and tried it at home.
- 2 cups cabbage, shredded
- 1⁄2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped
- 4 whole walnuts
- 1 small lettuce
- 1 chopped onion
- Choose a hard white cabbage and shred finely.
- Soak in cold water for 1/2 hour.
- Drain and mix with the onions and nuts and stir in mayo.
- Serve with lettuce and place half a nut on each portion.
A great salad which I was able to make up for lunch in the office yesterday. I halved the mayo and added some balsamic vinegar. Got lots of jealous looks from my coworkers and even had to share some. Fantastic, thanks!
