Buffalo Chicken Pizza

"I got this recipe off of Frank's Redhot Sauce web site. I fixed for the first time last week. DH loved it. I noticed that this was slightly different than the recipes I had seen posted. I adapted it to fit our needs."

  1. Great recipe! I used tortilla shells for my pizza crust to cut down on the carbs. Used leftover buffalo chicken from Recipe #493751 I omitted the pizza sauce and just used our favorite BBQ sauce on each tortilla. I topped with the chicken, chihuahua cheese and blue cheese. Although I didn't go overboard with the gorgonzola, it was overpowering and I am a HUGE lover of blue cheese. So take care there! Less baking time because I did not use a pizza crust. All in all a real winner. Thanks for posting happynana.

  2. You gave me a good recipe. I gave you a good picture. We'll call that a draw.

  3. I've made this recipe several times and it's become my son's favorite meal. For the barbecue sauce, I use the "Chipotles in Adobo BBQ Sauce" found on this site (http://www.food.com/recipe/chipotles-in-adobo-bbq-sauce-368461). I've used store bought, but the barbecue sauce listed here makes the pizza even better. I don't add the blue cheese as I'm the only one in my family who likes it so I leave it out and use cheese's that I have on hand, mozzarella, cheddar, munster, etc. We also like it with red sliced onions over the top which kicks it up in flavor. I've also used the prepared pizza dough as suggested in the recipe and have used fresh pizza dough, both are good, but the fresh pizza dough in my opinion is better. The plus in using the prepared dough is that you can put it together quickly on a weeknight after work. This is now a staple in our family. Thank you happynana.

  4. This is such a wonderful quick recipe to make, with outstanding flavour. I didn't add the crumbled blue cheese as we are not fans, apart from that I used all the other ingredients. I didn't really measure anything out just topped pizzas. Everyone was MMmmmmm and yum, this will definitely become a regular in our house. A great after work no fuss with great taste recipe. Thanks for sharing

I am a real estate agent along with my husband, Mike. I enjoy meeting people and helping them sell or find a home. I have been happily married for 27 years. We have 1 daugther and 3 grandsons. My favorite recipes are from Paula Deen. I love to cook and eat -- that is why I workout 5 to 6 times a week. I enjoy Bible study, cooking, working out at the gym and reading. My husband and I love spending time with our grandsons who live about 45 miles from us. We are quick to give Our Heavenly Father credit for all the wonderful blessings in our life. My pet peeves are greed and people who are always late. I love this site and it is so much fun. I have met many nice chefs while participating in the contests. I think it is unfair when chefs change an original recipe and then give a low rating. The way I will rate recipes: 5***** Delicious Recipes that we enjoyed and will want to have again and again. 4****Recipes that I would make again but make some changes. 3***Recipes that I would probably not try again without some major changes. I will not give a 1 or 2 rating as I know that the chefs that took time to enter the recipe felt it was deserving to share. I just have different tastes than them. <a href="http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y254/Missymop/?action=view¤t=curriedcurrajongs.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y254/Missymop/curriedcurrajongs.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><img src="http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c105/jewelies/boronia.jpg"><img src="http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z205/jubespage/AussieRecipeSwap.gif"><img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/adoptedspring08.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"><img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/PAC08Main.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"><img src="http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c105/jewelies/Cooking-Kangaroo-1-1.jpg"><img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/PACfall08partic.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"><img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/IWasAdoptedfall08.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"><a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w115/bugh8er/food%20and%20swaps/7016b640.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"><img src="http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e110/flower753/Food/my3chefsnov2008.jpg"><img src="http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg271/MrsTeny/AMpageSticker.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"><img src="http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg271/MrsTeny/CookathonforKarensticker.jpg"><img src="http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a132/tgifford/Game%20Room%20Banners/AM%20Banners/KBparticipation.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"><img src="http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b280/carolinamoon21/Ingredients/BANNERS/TagRed-STKR.jpg"><img src=http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii31/bleupantry/RecipeZaar%20and%20other%20Food/Top%20Favs%20of%202008%20GAME/ParticipationBanner.jpg><img src="http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg271/MrsTeny/Permanent%20Collection/PACSpring09Iwasadopted.jpg"><img src="http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg271/MrsTeny/Permanent%20Collection/PACSpring09Participation.jpg"><img src="http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b2/kiwidutch/my3chefs2009final-1.jpg">
