This wonderful recipe came from my cousin in Bellevue, WA. She is a wonderful cook!!! The flavors of bacon, craisins and pecans are a wonderful match for the broccoli.
- 4 cups chopped broccoli
- 1⁄4 cup chopped onion
- 1⁄2 cup raisins
- 1⁄2 cup craisins
- 1⁄2 cup chopped pecans
- 1⁄4 cup cooked bacon, crumbled or 1⁄4 cup bacon bits
- dates (optional) or chopped apple (optional)
- 3 tablespoons vinegar
- 3⁄4 cup mayonnaise
- 1⁄3 cup cooked bacon, crumbled or 1⁄3 cup bacon bits
- Toss the salad ingredients together and add dressing, mixing well.
Another winner at my Thanksgiving table! I made some changes to please the crowd - used 1 cup of Craisins, omitting the raisins and added about 1/3 cup sugar to the dressing. Prepped a day ahead then dressed 3 hours in advance, the flavors came together beautifully. Thanks for sharing your recipe!
