For Pudding:
- Soak bread in milk 5 minutes.
- Add sugar, butter and salt.
- Pour slowly over eggs.
- Add vanilla and mix well.
- Pour into greased 1 1/2 quart baking dish.
- Bake over pan of hot water in oven at 350 degrees until firm, about 1 hour.

For Sauce:
- Mix sugar,flour and salt; add water and cook over low heat until thick.
- Add butter and lemon juice.
