Boston Cream Pie

- 2 eggs
- 3⁄4 cup pastry flour
- 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons hot water
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vinegar or 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Filling
- 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons flour
- salt
directions
- Beat egg whites till stuff - add and beat egg yolks. Add sugar, water, and sifted flour with baking powder. Add vinegar.
- Bake in deep cake pan.
- Split and fill with cream (custard) filling. Whipped cream may be added on top or else sugar may be sprinkled over it.
- Cream filling: Moisten with little water.
- Beat one egg and add to mixture. Add cup hot milk. Cook in double boiler. Flavor with lemon.
