Blushing Harvest Crisp

A great recipe to have on hand for fall with the fresh apples and cranberries.

This is a yummy applel crisp! Loved the apple and cranberry combination and the topping is so good. I used Granny Smith apples and next time might add one more for a little more filling. To dress it up add ice cream and some warm caramel sauce. Made and reviewed for Kittencal's Recipe Tag Game.

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Spray an 8 inch square baking pan with cooking spray.
  3. In a large bowl, combine apples, cranberries and 1/2 t. pumpkin pie spice.
  4. Toss to mix.
  5. Pile mixture into baking dish.
  6. In a medium bowl combine flour, remaining 1/2 t. pumpking pie spice, brown sugar and oats.
  7. Mix well.
  8. Blend in the softened butter until crumbly.
  9. Sprinkle over fruit mixture.
  10. Bake 40-45 minutes or until fruit is tender when pierced with a sharp knife and topping is golden brown.
