This is a very refreshing, fruity smoothie with a lovely consistency. Mine came out very thick and yummy. But somehow there was something missing for me tastewise -maybe some cinnamon or a little maple syrup...This is a great base for experimenting and adding different things, though. Thanks for sharing this wonderful treat with us, Mandy! Made and reviewed for June Bevy Tag 09.

5 Stars, the orange juice is the perfect counterpoint to the blueberries and the blueberries-n-cream low-fat Green's Ice Cream I used, it sets the taste. I used 1/4 cup additional blueberries to offset the "cream" in the ice cream I had to buy (out of season). Loved it, this ice cream lover claims this as one of her favorite desserts! Made for Zaar Stars Tag.

A flavoursome smoothie which I made with Greek yoghurt - so not frozen yoghurt - as that's what I always buy and it enables me to make smoothies the night before, put them in a Tupperware container to enjoy as an in-the-car-on-the-run breakfast. I made my smoothie with a cup of fresh blueberries and about 1/4 cup of sunflower seeds, a pretty standard ingredient in most smoothies I make. Even after blending, there's still a bit of crunch. I also added a pinch of cinnamon. For my taste, this didn't need extra sweetness, but those with a sweeter tooth may well want to taste test it and add a bit of honey if they want their smoothie a tad sweeter. Made for the Aussie Forum's MAKE MY RECIPE tag game. Thanks for sharing this recipe, Mandy!

Melbourne I live on a 5 acre property in the Dandenong Ranges Victoria, Australia, having moved from the burbs when I became pregnant with my now 15 year old daughter Alyssa.
Once my daughter was born I became a stay at home mum as I couldn't bear the thought of putting her in daycare. She is the light of my life, I never imagined myself as a mum when younger but now wouldn't have it any other way. Alyssa was made a big sister on the 19th April 2010 when our cheeky little boy Blake was born. I love cooking and experimenting with new recipes so quickly become addicted to Zaar as it was previously known & still use it regularly. In addition to being my kids taxi  I also spend my time, reading, gardening and of course shopping. I'm lucky enough that we have the space & so love growing our own fruits, vegies & herbs, this also means we have plenty of room for animals & at the moment have 2 dogs, Max, a Jackshund who's 6, Fletcher, a Kelpie who's 4, 6 cats Snowpea, Fergus, Ginger, Tango, Annie & Cookie, 4 chooks & 2 Ducks.
As well as our pets, we also have a lot of native animals around our area, we have kangaroos, wombats, echidna's, possums as well as rosella's, galah's & Cockatoo's hence the name of where I live..
