  1. WONDERFUL FLAVORFUL CHEWY brownies! I LOVE recipes with a different twist! This was so easy and they turned out nice and chocolaty with the complimenting flavors of lemon and blueberries. The blueberries also lend to the great chewiness of this brownie. I made a half recipe in an 8x8 pan. I also melted my chocolate chips and butter in a pyrex in the microwave...easy peasy. Made for 1-2-3 hit wonders.

  2. I made these for my fiance (who adores blueberries) and our guests; I'm allergic to blueberries, and as such I couldn't sample these myself...so this review is based on my experience making them and what those who tried them had to say. The recipe was easy to follow and worked just as it was supposed to, and the brownies baked up beautifully -- the top formed a gorgeous crust. Everyone really liked these, but the general opinion was that my regular brownie recipe (a cocoa-based one that is actually easier and faster to make) somehow had better overall "chocolate" flavor, in spite of the fact that I used premium chocolate for this one. Still, this is a great brownie recipe for those times when you don't want to use cocoa (or don't have it handy). They are rich and make a beautiful presentation. Thanks for sharing!

  3. Awesome! I was afraid these would be too sweet with two cups of sugar but it seemed to give them a caramel-y flavor. I still may try to cut down the sugar a bit next time though. I loved the blueberries. I had no trouble getting them out of the pan, even when I had to try a small piece when they'd only been out of the oven for 5 minutes (I just can't resist warm brownies!) Thanks for the recipe!

  4. What a delicious brownie. Loved the texture of these. Easy to make and the addition of the blueberries is just perfect. They are a little difficult to get out of the pan in one piece, even after cooling for about 15 minutes. I think I'll let them cool a little longer next time. Thanks so much for sharing. Made for SSC Pet Parade.

I am the mother of three, wife of one :) My teenager is the pickiest eater in the world, while my 3 year old will eat anything (though has been acting more and more fickle lately). Our newest addition was born in June 2008, so she doesn't really know much in the way of varieties of food. My husband says "I don't care what you fix, as long as it has meat in it." I have thousands of recipes saved on my computer from over the years, and am constantly on the lookout for new ones. I also seem to have accumulated hundreds of cookbooks over the years. I am (slowly) trying to go thru all the recipes I have saved and add them to 'Zaar, but this will take some time. I try to only post things that my family (or I) will eat (though I haven't necessarily yet tried every recipe I have posted). <img src="http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/DUCHESS13/cookbookswap.jpg"> <img src="http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/DUCHESS13/Zaar%20World%20Tour%203/ZWT3-Participation.gif"> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/captain.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t237/akplongmeadow/ZWT3b.jpg"> <img src="http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b280/carolinamoon21/Stockingswapcopy.jpg"> <img src="http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w115/bugh8er/food%20and%20swaps/4811_39528.png" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/Adopted1smp.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"> <img src="http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a132/tgifford/Game%20Room%20Banners/AM%20Banners/ZaarStar-AMBanner.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/smPACp.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"> <img src="http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/DUCHESS13/Zaar%20World%20Tour%204/ZWTAB-tg.gif"> <img src="http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a132/tgifford/Game%20Room%20Banners/AM%20Banners/potluckpbanner.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z205/jubespage/kid-friendlytag-participation2.gif"> <img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y164/lauralie41/cookbookswapspring08-2.jpg"> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/IWasAdoptedfall08.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj81/HokiesLady65/123HitAMpage.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/PACfall08partic.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z205/jubespage/stacky5.jpg"> <img src="http://i497.photobucket.com/albums/rr336/jess4freedom/Zaar%20banners/Kid-Friendly-Tag.jpg"><img src="http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e110/flower753/Food/my3chefsnov2008.jpg"> <img src="http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a24/ohohkatie/MARCHTAG1.jpg"> <img src="http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg271/MrsTeny/Permanent%20Collection/PACSpring09Iwasadopted.jpg"> <img src="http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg271/MrsTeny/Permanent%20Collection/PACSpring09Participation.jpg"> <img src="http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j166/ZaarNicksMom/Animation6.gif"> <img src="http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j166/ZaarNicksMom/PACsticker-Adopted.jpg">
