"The first time I made oatmeal this way I thought it tasted like french toast topped with berries...thus the name! :) Use whichever kind of berries you like...my personal favorite is cherries."

  1. Made this for breakfast this morning. I followed the recipe, using blackberries as that is what I had in the freezer. They were unsweetened so I did add a teaspoon of splenda as we tought it needed it. I didn't add the flax seeds as I didn't have any. I cooked mine on high for two minutes and it was done the way I like it. My son and I shared this. I loved it but he just liked it he said. I like that it is something different.

  2. The ingredients in this are so simple but it tastes so good. I used stevia powder to sweeten it and coconut oil for the fat content. I like the deviation from traditional cinnamon oatmeal.

  3. Thank you, BeautifulHuman for posting this. It was delicious. I didn't know you could nuke oatmeal so quickly (I would recommend putting a liner under your bowl as mine boiled over). I can't believe how good this was. Oatmeal usually makes me want to hurl. I've been forcing myself to eat until I found your recipe. Now I actually enjoy it. Thanks again!

  4. Mmm! I really enjoyed this! I think i added less water then called for (i like mine thick) and i just added already boiling water and let it sit with the oats instead of using the microwave. also, i added cinnamon to further the french toast taste, as well as 1 1/2 tbsps maple syrup instead of the sugar free syrup, which i would DEFINETLY reccommend. I just used light becel margerine. It was fabulous! UPDATE: I've made this countless times now and my favorite is chopped bananas on top, or raspberries =]] Mmm, i'm so glad i can across this recipe!

Hi there :) Right now I'm a student...my major is Forensic Science, but I'm hoping to one day be a Forensic Pathologist (Think: Dr. G, Medical Examiner)...but I'm many, many years away from that. I recently moved to Pittsburgh for a year so I could be closer to/live with my boyfriend for his last year of Undergrad...then we'll both go back to NYC! I really enjoy cooking, and pretty much cook for my boyfriend and I everynight. I'm also a health nut (he is not), so I'm always looking for recipes that will satisfy both of us:) I love: browsing for new recipes, cooking, exercising, music, reading, spending time with my boyfriend, movies...etc
