Banana Pudding

"I have to say this is a Great tasting Banana pudding. I usually just make a classic pudding, but after trying this, I think I've found my signature recipe. I got this recipe out of a Family cookbook."

  • In a large mixing bowl beat milk & pudding mix with an electric mixer on low speed about 2 minutes, or until thickened.
  • In a small bowl stir together 1 cup of the pudding and sour cream.
  • Fold Sour Cream mixture and dessert topping into remaining pudding.
  • In 3 quart rectangular baking dish layer half of the vanilla wafers and half bananas.
  • Top with half of the pudding mixture.
  • Repeat layers.
  • Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 2 hours.
  • NOTE:*The longer you refrigerate, the better! I prefer overnight*.

  1. I just made this for dinner tonight...quick, easy...and very good. The only thing I changed was the pudding....didn't have vanilla...so used chocolate. This is really good. Thank you for posting this keeper.

I'm a stay at home mom to my two children ages 2 & 4. I have been married to a wonderful man for 10 yrs & we live in Central Kentucky. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than cooking & cleaning for my family. It can be a difficult task to find foods that please hubby & toddlers, but I'm always up for the challenge! Quick & Easy but Healthy is always the best way to go around here. I love making casseroles more than anything. I am a southern cook by heart, which can be a bit difficult to find healthy alternatives...
