A twist on the traditional southern grits cooked on top of the stove. Even the most prejudiced yankee soul will give in to these.
- 2 cups grits, cooked according to directions
- 3⁄4 cup butter or 3⁄4 cup margarine
- 1 lb grated cheese
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons seasoning salt
- 3 eggs, beaten
- Tabasco sauce
- Preheat oven to 350F and grease a casserole dish.
- Mix all ingredients together, pour into greased casserole and bake for 1 hour.
