This is a quick dessert or warm snack. You can even let it go cold and mix it through your breakfast museli.
- 6 stone fruit, thinly sliced (eg peaches, nectarines, plums)
- 2 pears
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 orange, juice of
- 1⁄3 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- Preheat oven to 200°C.
- Place fruit in a baking tray with the cinnamon, orange juice.
- Cover with honey and sprinkle brown sugar.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with yoghurt, ice cream or custard.
We won 2nd place at the District Food Show with this! If you cook it as long as it says, the fruit gets really mushy, so we just baked for 10 minutes. We also added blueberries at the end for some color and dimension. It smells awesome when it is done!!!
