Baked Bananas in Orange Sauce

"I found this in a Taste of Home magazine and I will admit, I have never made this recipe... but it sounds amazing! I can't wait to try it- you'll have to let me know if you like it!"

• Serves: 2

ingredients

• 2 medium firm bananas
• 2 teaspoons butter, melted
• 1⁄4 cup orange juice
• 2 tablespoons brown sugar
• 2 teaspoons grated orange peel
• vanilla ice cream

directions

1. Cut each banana in half lengthwise; place cut side down in a greased 8 inch square baking dish.
2. Brush with butter.
3. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
4. Combine the orange juice, brown sugar and orange peel; pour over bananas.
5. Bake 10 minutes longer.
6. Serve with ice cream.
