I first had this when I taught in Hawaii. One of the other teachers brought it for an end of the year party and I had to beg her for the recipe! It was worth begging.

I couldn't taste the avocado but I sure could taste the mayonnaise. I definitely don't want a dessert that tastes like mayonnaise. I couldn't get that taste out of my mouth. If you like mayonnaise in your desserts, you will like this!

This tasted like lime jello. I could not taste a hint of avocado.

Outstanding!! And so~easy to make!!! This came out to be one of my favorite Jell-O desserts! Only a few things I did differently: I strained the avocado pulp well (took a bit more time but really worth it) and used 2% lowfat evaportated milk instead of cream. Lucious, I tell you! Simply fantastic! It's great on it's own but hard to resist eating only a few squares at a time, so next time I'll pour the entire mixture into a premade pie crust or two and perhaps add a dollop of whipped topping. I don't think anyone would suspect avocados much less mayonnaise in this; I personally don't care for avocados but remembered someone made this similar dessert years ago and wanted to eat it again. This is the only way I'll eat avocados now! Thanks for sharing--it's going to remain a staple in my cookbook from this day foreward!!!*Wink*
