Archies Beans

"Hearty beans everyone loves. I called my aunt years ago to get the recipe and my uncle answered. I asked for her bean recipe and was informed the recipe is actually his!!...haha. Makes a full crockpot or easily halved."

• Yields: 1 crockpot
• Serves: 25-30

ingredients

• 112 ounces beans (I combine Bush, B&M, Kidney...)
• 1 lb hamburger
• 1 lb bacon
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1⁄3 cup molasses
• 3⁄4 cup ketchup
• 1 medium onion
• 1 teaspoon liquid smoke
• 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
• 2 tablespoons bacon grease
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon pepper

directions

1. Crumble and brown hamburger.
2. Chop and cook bacon, or cook and crumble (Reserve 2Tbsp grease!).
3. Chop onion.
4. Drain beans.
5. Add all ingredients to crockpot.
6. Mix well.
7. Cook high 2 hours low 2 hours.
