  • Cream margarine and sugar. Add eggs and applesauce blending well.
  • Add dry ingredients and fold in raisins and nuts.
  • Chill 1 hour.
  • Bake on greased cookie sheet 350° for( 10-15 minutes do not over cook--cookies should be slightly moist looking on top).

  1. I had a neighbor that made these cookies when I was little and until now have not found a recipe that was close. This one was it! I did not add nuts or raisins since my family is not fond of them. I also added 1tsp vanilla. They are super moist and great tasting! A kid-pleaser. Thank you for sharing.
     
  2. These are pretty good && very soft. My family does not like raisins so I made the 1st dozen plain so I could taste just the cook itself then I put cjocolate chips it the last 2 dozen for my kids. The plain cookies are mild in flavor but still good for me but my kids prefer the chocolate chips. That's kids for you. These cookies do come out kinda flat, I think they are supposed to so it's just a heads up.
