  • FILLING: In large bowl toss together apples and juice.
  • Stir sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg & salt - mix over apples - then add melted butter.
  • Sprinkle pecan over bottom of pie shell, add apple mixture.
  • TOPPING: In bowl combine brown sugar, flour & cinnamon - mix with melted butter & add pecans, sprinkle over apples.
  • Bake pie at 425 for 15 minute . Reduce to 375 and bake for 25 - 30 minutes.
  • Cool.

  1. Delicious! I used two cans of apple pie filling and omitted the lemon juice, sugar and flour. We loved the pecan topping, but since I love nuts I think I will double the amount of nuts on the bottom and in the topping next time. Almost like candies apples. Thanks, Carole in Orlando

I enjoy cooking some of the time but at times find it a chore. I work full-time (stressful job) and I'm trying to teach my three children, (all girls) to cook but none are interested, however they are interested in eating. I enjoy easy recipes that taste great and are easy to make.
