  • Set oven to 350 degrees.
  • Set oven rack to second-lowest position.
  • Grease two loaf pans, or 7 mini loaf pans.
  • Sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt; set aside.
  • Combine sugar, eggs, oil, sour cream and vanilla; beat well.
  • Blend into flour mixture.
  • Fold in apples and nuts.
  • Pour into prepared pans.
  • Bake 1 hour or until loaves test done.
  • Bake less time for mini loaves.

  1. I tried your receipe of the Apple Loaf Bread twice and both times it was a failure . Folding<br/>in the nuts and apples after all the ingredience have been mixed was a chore of its own.<br/>Ive tried this receipe 2 time and both failures. After struggled mixing a big clob of , {clay} the <br/>next thing was try to put it in a loaf pan, { a chore of its own} . what a poor excuse for Apple Nut Loaf Bread. Receipe in the garbage.
     
  2. I was dissapointed as my breads were dry- Followed directions exact- used walnuts-nice flavor, too dry. Any suggestions? Seemed like it needed more sour cream and the batter was so thick it would not pour into the pans.

  4. This recipe should be locked in a safe at Fort Knox! It's unbeliveably good! I had a couple of apples hanging around, so I tried this. I can't believe I hadn't made it before. I'm on the second batch as I'm typing this. Everything about this recipe is great. Thanks, Kittencal, for this recipe, and for sharing.
     
  5. Great tea bread! I used Splenda and it turned out fine! I used chopped hazelnuts, but will try pecans next time. Thanks, Kit, for posting.
