Is this the recipe that was on the Hunt's tomato paste can in 1979? lost it and haven't found it again. I only remember using whole peeled tomatoes, and 1 can of tomato paste and one can of water (from the peeled tomatoes can filled with water.) Simmered for 2-3 hrs. It was awesome! Does anyone have it?

I want to thank you for posting this. You were correct in saying people have lost this recipe. When I first got married I found this recipe at an I.G.A. store as a give away. I was great, then over the years I was cooking professionally and lost track on some good old stand byes. I even contacted Hunts and they do not have a record of it. So again big thanks. For anyone else a very good cheap pasta sauce and it freezes great.
