This is so good and so pretty! It's bright blue and the grenadine makes a bright red layer at the bottom of the glass! Be sure to serve it in a glass martini glass to get the great effect! I served this at our 4th party and received many raves. This is my first post - hope you like it.

  • 1 12 ounces vodka (I used Mezzaluna)
  • 12 ounce triple sec
  • 12 ounce blue curacao
  • 12 ounce prepared sweet-and-sour mix
  • 1 dash grenadine (I used the liqueur not the syrup)

  1. Mix all ingredients except grenadine in shaker and chill.
  2. Pour into martini glass.
  3. Add grenadine and it will sink to bottom.

Wow! This drink really got me into the 4th of July spirit! After a couple of these, I was feeling no pain. I loved the orange flavor from the blue curacao and triple sec. This was almost too pretty to drink...so I drank two of them :) Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe.

I too made this recipe last night to test it for today's 4th of July festivities..... It was fantastic! I didn't have blue curacao so I used Triple Sec and blue food coloring. Great in a pinch.
