"This is our favorite bean dish, the one my mom is famous for. Great for potlucks, picnics, or just any old time. This dish needs to sit 2 hours before baking. (Cooking time includes this.)"

  1. Love these boozy baked beans--sweet and tangy. Simple prep.

  2. Just like the dish my mother made in the 1960s but I didn't get the recipe. Thanks soo much!! YUM!

  3. Awesome beans! You can't beat these! I used Bush's original for the baked beans. This is nice because you can assemble these, then get your other food prepared while it sets for the two hours. This is a new favorite bean recipe here. Thanx for sharing!

One of the old time founding members of Recipezaar. I live in Port Orchard, Washington. I LOVE to cook and bake nearly everything! I HATE to see people join the site, have no published recipes, but rag on another cook in a review on a recipe they haven't even tried or didn't follow. Oh, and I hate cilantro, too. :)
