ingredients

• 3⁄4 cup butter
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1⁄2 cup white sugar
• 3 eggs
• 1 cup white sugar
• 2 tablespoons white sugar
• 3 tablespoons flour
• 1⁄3 teaspoon baking powder
• 6 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
• 3 tablespoons lemon zest

directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Make crust: mix together first three ingredients with a fork until crumbly. press into an 8 inch square cake pan and bake for 20 minutes. do not brown.
3. Mix the rest of the ingredients with a mixer until well mixed. Pour over the pre-baked crust. Place in oven for an additional 30 minutes.
4. remove from oven and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Allow to cool completely before cutting.
