  • Pour condensed milk into an 8 inch glass pie plate.
  • Cover with foil and set into a shallow casserole filled with 1/4 inch water.
  • Bake at 425 for 1 hour and 15 minutes (or until milk is thick and caramel colored).
  • Remove foil and set aside.
  • Slice bananas and set it bottom of graham cracker crust.
  • Spread carmelized milk over banana layer.
  • Cool for 30 minutes.
  • Combine whipping cream and powdered sugar.
  • Whip until stiff (or, you can cheat like me and use something like Cool Whip).
  • Spread over caramel layer.
  • Sprinkle with crushed candy.

  2. Too easy and too good. I did have problems making the caramel with the condensed milk...I used a pyrex and covered it, but somehow parts of it still got burnt. But didn't affect the ultimate taste. Thanks!

  4. OMG this pie is outstanding! It's my new favorite. I can't wait to take it to my mom's for a cookout. I was a little nervous about making the caramel but it turned out great. I,like you,cheated and used Cool Whip but that's OK. Oh, I used a Nella Wafer pie crust which really complimented it. It was perfect. Thanks so much!!!
     
  5. Great stuff! My husband took a piece to work and shared with a friend, who declared it "the best thing I've ever eaten." :-) Very easy to make. I couldn't find Heath bars at the store so I used part of a bag of Heath Toffee Bits.
