Poppy Seed Maple Bread (Abm)

ingredients

• 1 cup water
• 2 tablespoons canola oil
• 2 tablespoons maple syrup
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 1⁄2 tablespoons poppy seeds
• 3 cups whole wheat flour
• 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
• 1⁄2 teaspoon orange zest, grated

directions

1. Put ingredients in bread machine pan in order recommended by manufacturer.
2. Bake on medium crust setting.

this recipe didn't work at all for me. i added the ingredients to my machine and after 3 hours it wasn't even rising. i removed the dough and tried to bake it in the oven but the finished result was a dense chewey hard bread. sorry mike. so i cleaned out the machine and baked your oven herb read which was excellent.
