  • In mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
  • Add eggs and vanilla. Mix well.
  • Combine flour, cocoa and walnuts; add to the creamed mixture.
  • Spread into a greased 13-inch x 9-inch x 2-inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
  • Combine condensed milk and coconut; carefully spread over the hot chocolate layer. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until coconut is lightly browned.
  • Combine icing ingredients until smooth.
  • Spread icing over warm bars.
  • Refrigerate at least 1 hour before cutting.

  2. Made these up to take to a potluck here in the mobile home park, & they were [in my humble opinion!] the hit of the dessert table! People thought they were sooo small at first, but their richness makes up for size! Definitely a keeper recipe, & something I want to add to 'bars cookbook!' Thanks for the recipe!
