- 1 1⁄4 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 cup wheat germ
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups milk
- 1⁄2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
directions
- Combine dry ingredients.
- Add milk, oil and eggs.
- Mix until smooth.
- Bake about six minutes in waffle iron.

Really food waffle, but with healthier low fat modifications-but tasted fantastic as well.<br/>Made a 2 serving portion -subbed most of oil for unsweetened apple sauce, Splenda for sugar, 2/3 of the salt, added 2 tablespoons of Flax Seed, and used egg whites instead. <br/>Came out great. Then when finished -topped with fresh fruit and ED Smith low fat syrup. TastyÂ
