I don't know what went wrong for the last reviewer, but I made this following the recipe and the loaves came out perfect! It was great for sandwiches, as we had hot turkey and gravy sandwiches and it makes excellent toast. I love homemade toast! I threw in some sunflower seeds to give it more flavor and texture and it was a great addition. This is headed to my favorite bread recipes right now!

I made the "large loaf" by hand (almost...using my Cuisinart mixer), and it's not even close on the water measurment. Given that I'm in Seattle, and it was a drizzly day, I'd normally need slightly less rather than more. This was off by at least 1 1/4 cups, and I really should have added a bit more. It made two standard loaves, and they made wonderful toast, but the crumb is too course for sandwich bread.
