Vanilla Pudding Pie

• Serves: 6

ingredients

• 2 (3 1/2 ounce) packages vanilla instant pudding mix
• 3 1⁄2 cups cold milk
• 1 (9 inch) graham cracker crust
• whipped cream (optional)

directions

1. Whisk together pudding mixes and milk until thick and creamy.
2. Pour into crust.
3. Chill until firm.
4. Top with whipped cream, if desired.

My mom always made a similar pie, except she prepared one box of chocolate pudding and put it on the bottom. After it set awhile, she prepared a box of vanilla pudding and put it on top. We called it “Ribbon Pie”. BTW, use the same amount of milk as this recipe (1 3/4 cup per box), which is less than the package directions for pudding

My family really enjoyed this. This was so easy to make. I followed the recipe as written other then I used sugar free pudding as that is all we eat. Quick and easy dessert to make.

Charmie, what a quick and easy pie to put together for the wonderful flavor you get. Loved it. It would have helped if I had remembered to bake the purchased pie crust. I forgot to do that. Still we loved it.
