I eat a lot of oatmeal breakfasts and always with cranberries, but I've never thought to try subbing juice for the water before. This was absolutely genius! I used orange flavored dried cranberries, a dab of Chilean honey and some fresh ground cinnamon. I cooked mine a little longer, just cause I like a little thicker consistency. Delicious! Thanks for sharing this idea, Rita! Made & enjoyed for the 2012 All Aboard the L-O-V-E train! tag game

A great change from my usual oatmeal. I didn't have any dried cranberries so used some fresh but added a little splenda and 1/2 cup of milk. Very filling! Thanks for sharing!

I haven't made this, but I just wanted to point out that the vitamin C in the juice will simply get killed during heating.

Used old fashioned oats which were cooked on the stove top. Garnished with orange flavored cranberries and local blackberry honey. Our ~Tasty~ loved it! Delicious! Made for Veg Tag #19-2010

I have oatmeal for breakfast most mornings. So, it is always nice to have a different way to make it. I enjoyed this version and liked that if the honey was skipped, it was a vegan friendly way to have oats without them being boring. I did have to add some more oats for it not to overly thin. However, I do like a thicker oatmeal so that could just have been me. I sprinkled some extra dried cranberries on top. Made for vegetarian tag.
