My husband was born in England. Today was a cold, wet Autumn day in Australia. We both felt like some comfort food, something to remind us of our child-hood. "Do you remember Toad in the Hole?" Adrian asked as he lit the open fire. I went hunting for the recipe. As we like onions I threw in some sliced onion with the pork sausages. Adrian made the gravy. He makes the best gravy. Toad in the Hole with green beans, corn and gravy, eaten in front of an open fire is a meal fit for a King. Many thanks for this recipe.
