ingredients
- 1 1⁄4 cups turbinado sugar
- 1⁄2 cup kosher salt
- 1⁄4 cup granulated honey
- 1⁄4 cup garlic salt
- 1⁄4 cup granulated onion
- 1⁄2 cup sweet Hungarian paprika
- 1 tablespoon bell chili pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon ground celery seed
- 1 tablespoon korean chili flakes
- 1 tablespoon dried basil
- 1 tablespoon turmeric
- 1 tablespoon ground ginger
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 3 tablespoons ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon white pepper
- 2 teaspoons citric acid
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
directions
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
- Mix well with a sturdy wire whisk.
- Use immediately or store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.
- Store in a cool dark place.
- Smoke powder wasn't recognized by the system, but we also added 1/2 teaspoon of smoke powder. You can omit this without any degradation of the overall flavor, it just adds a nice smokey note to the overall rub.
