I made this recipe from the Real Simple website. I am not sure if my fish sauce is stronger, or something else, but I found the smell off-putting. I added 1/3 to 1/2 of a medium onion, cooked in saucepan until clear or lightly brown, to the meat to cover the fish sauce smell. My husband, and two guys helping work on the house, liked it. Oh, the recipe, from the RS website, calls for 4 cups shredded cabbage. I liked the texture that gave it.

This didn't seem to be enough on it's own to be a salad - really did need to be lettuce wraps or increase the cukes a lot. That being said, it tasted good and wa pretty easy! Thanks! Made for PAC Spring '13
