Weeknight Tater Tot Casserole

"This is a an easy one dish meal to make for lots of people or you can cut the recipe in half and make just for 2. Tastes great leftover too. I used to make it without corn, but the creamed corn adds great flavor."

  1. Made for Fall PAC 2007. This was good. It's different from the "usual" Tator Tot Casserole I make. I liked the addition of the corn but not sure if I will add the green beans next time. I like green beans but didn't care for them in this casserole. Will make again!

  2. We loved this. The only thing I'll change is the veggies. Next time I'll use frozen instead of canned. The canned we had tasted canned, and thus ruined the overall taste of the entire casserole. Other than that it was excellent, and that is just personal taste. Thanks for a great recipe!

  3. This was a pretty good casserole. I had never made or served a tator tot casserole, but we all enjoyed this one. The creamed corn does lend a sweetness to the dish! I halved the recipe to feed 4 and we still had leftovers!

  4. This makes one whopper of a casserole!! I think it could feed 12 people. With everything that was mixed in this sure tasted good. I liked all the cheese in it. This mixed up really fast but took one hour to bake as I put it in my Pamper Chef stoneware cake pan. I did drain off the liquid from the beans and corn. If you don't you'll have a soupy mess. At the time I adopted NewlywedRN this was the only recipe she had posted. She has a Caramel Cake recipe on now I'd like to try. This is a great recipe and I'll be making it again!! Made for PAC Fall 2006

We had our first child, a beautiful baby girl on November 2, 2007. I am an RN at a Rural hospital, I also work just as needed at a nursing home. I started quilting about 2 years ago. I've made several quilts for my sisters, cousins, and in-laws. My Great Aunt owns a quilting shop, she has people in all the time that just sit in her work area and sew together, it's a lot of fun. I also get to use her longarm quilting machine for free.
