  • Wash rice in water to remove all or most of the starch.
  • in a medium pot put some oil in bottom of pot and heat under medium high.
  • put 1/4 lbd of dry egg noodles in pot and mix constantly.
  • add salt to water and add to pot as soon as noodles change color from yellow to light tan.
  • bring to boil while stiring noodles into rice. when you can see noodle mixture through rice, cover pot and reduce heat to very low. rice will be ready in 20-30 minutes.
