Super Fast Salisbury Steak

"This is so easy! To speed up the prep time I like to make the patties ahead of time and refrigerate or freeze them. The turkey breast brings the total fat down while the ground round adds moistness and flavor. Serve with roasted vegetables such as potatoes and carrots. Update - I have added a few options to the meat mixture to add additional flavor."

  1. The sauce is delicious, but I too found the patties to be a bit flavorless. I will make the sauce to go with meatloaf, I think, or roast beef, but will skip the patties (or add my usual meatloaf seasonings to the meat for flavor.)

  2. I made these exactly as posted, mixing ground turkey and ground round. I love the reduced fat quality of this recipe, but I found the meat patties to be a little lacking in taste. Although the sauce was good, it didn't permeate the meat to give it that special flavor. In the future, I would add some seasoning to the meat pattie mix to give it a little flavoring. Made for Newest Zaar Tag. **UPDATE** I put these in the refridgerator overnight, then broke the meat patties into quarters, allowing the sauce to get to the meat. I also sprinkled a little greek seasoning over the meat. This really helped the taste of the meat patties so I am changing my rating from 3 to 4 stars.
