These are amazing! We served them at Christmas time (sorry for the late review, we have a newborn) anyway, everyone loved them. My mother-in-law and my sister-in-law both asked for the recipe! On a side note, we tried them with walnuts also, and those were wonderful as well. Thanks so much for the wonderful recipe!

5 stars all the way! I made a scaled down "test batch" of these yesterday because I'm already trying to decide what to make for the upcoming holidays. The directions were easy to follow and the results were fantastic. Instead of pecans I used peanuts (Kirkland Signature makes some extra crunchy ones that have a really nice taste in this) and I added a teaspoon of vanilla extract. I used margarine and it worked out fine. After the nuts were mostly cooled, I put them on some paper towel to drain off any extra margarine residue though. One hour of baking time was enough for my oven. Thanks so much for posting...my family is *definitely* going to enjoy these!

I actually found this exact recipe somewhere other than Zaar and was going to post myself, but I am happy to review it, instead. I had several pounds of pecans in my freezer from last season which I needed to use quickly so I have made this recipe 4 times. I used salted butter instead of the margarine. This is a very easy recipe to put together and the results are just delightful! I also left these in the oven for 1 1/2 hours because they seemed to need that much time to get crispy. Stirring them every 15 minutes, while in the oven, is essentional to obtain the crispy texture and to keep them from sticking together in large clumps. The buttery, sweet flavor is absolutely addicting. Oh, and if you don't eat them all while snacking, try chopping up a cupful and adding to your favorite waffle mix. They make a "to die for" butter pecan waffle!! Great recipe! Thanks for posting!

Hi, I live in Hot Springs, AR, but originally hail from the great windy city, Chicago. I have a house full of animals, all rescues, 8 parrots, 4 dogs and a cat. I am passionate about animals, especially ones that have been abused and neglected. If I had the money, I would buy a farm and fill it with animals that needed homes. I've been this way since I was a child and it seems I have passed my passion on to my daughter. How my poor husband puts up with us I don't know, buy he's a great guy and pitches right in with all the animals. He's a chef at a local resort (and an assistant zoo keeper when he gets home...lol).
