Spiced Apple and Raisin Sauce

"This is great over vanilla ice cream or served alongside chicken or turkey. Adding a touch of vinegar and some red pepper flakes make it go great with Pork also. Basically, this sauce has a lot of uses."

  • In medium skillet, cook apple over medium low heat in butter until tender; stir in brown sugar, raisins, cinnamon and cloves.
  • In small bowl, combine remaining ingredients; blend well then stir into apple mixture, stirring constantly.
  • Serve warm alongside poultry or over ice cream.

  1. This recipe was made to be used over ice cream, but I also served it with roast pork, & it was great! I did increase the amount of raisins, & I did cook the final sauce mixture until it thickened noticeably! Such a versatile sauce as this deserves more RAVES, people! Thanks for posting it!
