- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1⁄4 cup frozen chopped onions
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can stewed tomatoes seasoned with basil garlic & oregano
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1⁄3 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 5 -6 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 (8 ounce) package shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 (12 ounce) package fettuccine pasta
directions
- First make the sauce: In a saucepan brown garlic and onions in oil.
- Add stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce and parmesean cheese.
- Cook until bubbly.
- Place chicken breast in a 13 X 9 inch pan.
- Pour sauce over chicken.
- Top with mozzerella cheese.
- Cook at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
- Boil fettucine noodles according to directions.
- Serve chicken over noodles.

Picked this recipe to make for New Kids on the Block tag game and boy was I glad...Delicious! Hubby kept eating till his stomach hurt. I did add a little red pepper flakes to the sauce for some zing and used chicken thighs, but other than that I followed the directions. I might cut down on the romano/parm cheese in the sauce a little but then again maybe not. Definatley goinging into my Favorites of 2011. Thank you for submitting the recipe.
