directions

• 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
• 2. Mix chex, pretzels, and peanuts together in a big bowl.
• 3.Melt butter, brown sugar and caro syrup together in sauce pan. bring to a boil and keep it at a rolling boil for a minute and a half, stirring constantly.
• 4. Pour mixture over dry ingredients. Mix well.
• 5. Spread mixture onto a greased cookie sheet (i split it onto two sheets), and bake for 10 minutes.
• 6. Allow the chex mix to cool. Break it up into smaller chunks before it is totally cooled. I clean off my counter top and dump the mix right onto the counter after taking it out of the oven. i then let it cool there for about 10 minutes before starting to break it up and putting it into bowls for storage.

I enjoy making freezer meals to make life a little easier on busy school nights. We also have a large garden in the summer so making a variety of meals with our fresh ingredients is fun!
