Shane's Goulash

"This was adapted from Paula Deen's recipe. We used deer and wild boar meet instead of beef and turkey. It was absolutely delicious!"

  • In a large pot, brown the deer and pork.
  • Spoon off excess grease, but do not drain completely.
  • Add onions and cook until tender.
  • Add 3 cups water,tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, garlic, Italian seasoning, bay leaves, soy sause, salt, black pepper, garlic powder and seasoned salt.
  • Cook covered for 20-25 minutes.
  • Add the Elbow Macaroni, cover and continue to simmer for about 20 minutes.
  • Turn off the heat, remove the bay leaves and let sit about 30 minutes.

  1. This was really good and different. I only used the ground pork as there are no wild boar here in Atlanta. It was so quick and easy. Served it with warm bread and topped the dish with Parm. cheese. Wonderful
