Sausage Wonton Cups

"My mother made these for a get-together and everyone loved them. She can't remember where she got the recipe."

• Yields: 24 cups
• Serves: 12

ingredients

• 12 ounces Italian turkey sausage
• 15 ounces tomato sauce
• 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1⁄2 teaspoon dried basil
• 24 wonton wrappers
• 1 cup shredded cheese

directions

1. In a large skillet cook sausage until well done. Drain. Add tomato sauce, garlic, and basil. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until thick.
2. Press wonton wrappers into miniature muffin cups sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Bake at 350 about 7 minutes or until slightly brown.
3. Spoon sausage mix into cups and sprinkle with cheese. Bake until cheese is melted.
