"Hjort" Swedish Deer Meatballs

Hjort is Swedish for deer. This is a very basic swedish meatball recipe using deer. Antelope can also be substituted. I use my meatballs in spaghetti, barbeque sauce, and wrapped in bacon.

ingredients
- 1 lb ground deer meat
- 1⁄4 cup minced onion
- 1 egg
- 1⁄2 cup oats
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1⁄8 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄8 teaspoon pepper
directions
- mix meat, onion and egg.
- add soy sauce.
- add oats.
- add salt and pepper.
- form into balls. I used a large cookie scoop.
- Bake on foil for 30 min at 350 degrees.
