Potato Latkes With Pork Filling (Belarussian National Food)

- 1 kg potato
- 1 egg
- 4 medium onions
- 500 g pork
- 1⁄3 teaspoon ground black pepper (you can use more or less to your taste)
- some sunflower oil (for frying)
- 200 g sour cream
- salt
directions
- Cut peeled potatoes and chop in food processor.
- Remove potatoes juice.
- Add a couple of tablespoons of sour cream to potato (it will keep potatoes from browning) and mix.
- Add some salt and an egg to the potatoes, mix well.
- Chop onions in food processor.
- Cut pork into pieces and chop in food processor.
- Add some salt, ground black pepper and chopped onions to the meat.
- Take a piece of potatoes and spread it on your hand, add some meat and cover with one more part of potatoes, so you should get latkes with meat filling.
- Heat your pan, add some sunflower oil and put the latkes there.
- Fry for a couple of minutes each side on a medium fire (until latkes get crust), then decrease the fire and cover with a cap.
- Continue frying until the pork filling is cooked (about 10-15 minutes).
- Serve with sour cream.
