"This is my husbands favorite Pork recipe. It's super simple but the outcome is sophisticated enough for guests."

  • Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add mushrooms and green onions, cook 2-3 minutes until tender. Season meat with salt and pepper; add to skillet and cook until browned; turning once.
  • Pour in wine or broth, 1/4 c water and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Reduce heat and simmer until pork is tender, about 10 minutes Remove pork to platter.
  • Dissolve cornstarch in 1T water; stir into sauce in skillet. Increase heat to med. and stir until thickened, about 3 minutes Pour over pork and serve.

  1. Wonderful stuff! I used the madeira as opposed to the broth and couldn't have been more pleased. I also used diced yellow onion as opposed to green onion. I did double the sauce and I think I would recommend that be done, especially if you want to serve this over pasta or rice. The pork was wonderfully moist and the gravy very flavorful. It was very well recieved in our home.
     
  2. This was a great recipe and so quick and easy. We used chicken instead of pork because it's what we had thawed and doubled the sauce, glad we did!! Will surely make this again (with pork next time)
