"I was tired of buying this from a deli for lunch and wanted to make it for dinner and this is the recipe they gave me to make it at home. It is very simple and is definitely a comfort food. Serve with mashed potatoes and a veggie and you have a great easy dinner! Enjoy!!"

  1. Nice dinner. I made the recipe as directed. It was quite good.

  2. This was such a delicious and simple recipe. It made my Hubby very happy. I didn't have any Mrs. Dash, so I used garlic powder and black pepper. I also used an electric skillet and it smelled so good while cooking. Served over mashed potatoes. Thanks so much for posting this recipe.

  4. Well goodness gracious, where was this little greater then great recipe hiding? I was looking for something different then the usual peppers/steak Asian type of recipe, and I found it! The only real change I made was using sirloin steaks, (pounded just a bit) instead of cube steaks. I had some yellow peppers and onions and browned them quickly in my electric skillet and threw the whole wonderful tastes in on top of the steak after roasting for 15 minutes. I continued roasting for 15 more mins, and took off the foil for the last 5 minutes. Served happily atop some plain rice, and dished out the gravy, steak, onions, and peppers and all was right with the world this eve. Thank you Barbarella! March 2009.
